About the Place
Welcome to Pharaoh's Village, a treasure nestled in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where the vibrant flavors of the Middle East come alive! This charming establishment, located at 2425 Hope Mills Rd, invites you to experience a culinary journey that celebrates authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
As you step into Pharaoh's Village, you are greeted by an atmosphere filled with warmth and the tantalizing aroma of spices. The restaurant has earned rave reviews from customers who sing praises for its mouthwatering offerings. Take it from Tim Bullard, who called the lamb gyro the best he has ever had, noting the friendly and courteous staff. Consistency is key here; Tim revisited and was not disappointed, solidifying Pharaoh's Village as a go-to spot for his family!
The tantalizing menu features a variety of dishes, including the crowd-favorite chicken shawarma platter. This platter, loaded with juicy chicken, pita, fresh veggies, and optional extras, provides great value for your money. Diners like Austin Le highlight the flavorful preparation and generous portions. Speaking of portions, it's worth noting that while some have found the prices to be slightly on the higher side, the quality and taste make it well worth every penny.
Many reviews also emphasize the bakery's delectable treats. Jennifer Jenkins recommends trying the gyros, calling them “out of this world,” and raving about their light and delightful lady finger baklava—a dessert that finds a perfect balance, delightfully escaping the common over-sweetness that often plagues baklava.
Though a few customers have noted minor faults in service, they have not overshadowed the overwhelming satisfaction with the food. Robert Lee's experience reflects this sentiment, as he found the vibrant atmosphere and amazing food made up for any transient lapses in service engagement.

“ Had the lamb gyro with fries. Absolutely incredible! Best gyro I've ever had. Staff were friendly and courteous. Highly recommend Pharaoh's Village! Update 6/17/25 Had the lamb gyro and fries again today. Still incredible! I asked to speak with the owner and shared with him how it's such a treat every time my family dines at Pharaoh's Village. I've never been disappointed here. Update 10/20/25: once again enjoyed an outstanding meal at my go to place for a gyro and fries! ”
“ The food and atmosphere were amazing. Only gripe I had, which is minimal, was the young girl working the register. Just seemed like she didn't want to be there and not very engaged. She acted bothered when asked something or needing something and occasionally played on her phone while at work. But the food, and Turkish Coffee were exceptionally delicious. ”
“ Great food went out to eat with my mother we really enjoyed our self and the atmosphere ”
“ pharoahs village is a great place for mediterranean/middle eastern food! such great value for your money. the staff was super friendly and willing to assist. i got the chicken shawarma platter which came with chicken, pita, veggies, and side salad. they give you the option to sub the salad for fries, extra pita, or extra rice. the platter was so good! chicken was juicy and seasoned well and the combination of everything together was magnificent. super filling for only $15. i also ordered a side of falafel and those were tasty as well. i should’ve ordered the smaller portion rather than the large one! the atmosphere is that of a typical mom and pop shop. nothing fancy and it was a little warm in there. probably due to the kitchen in the same room. would definitely come again in the future. ”
“ This place is located over by the famous superior bakery on Hope Mills road and it may look like a little hole in the wall. But trust me when I tell you it is full of flavor. Do yourself a favor and stop by. The gyros are out of this world. Not a big fan of baklava because people generally make them overwhelmingly sweet, but the lady finger baklava here is absolutely amazing; the pastry is light and crispy and the balance between savory and sweet was like a concert going off in my mouth. Seriously one of my new found favorite places. Can't wait to try more of their dishes. ”
